ABOUTH THE ARTIST: Margo Styan was born in Saskatchewan in 1949, the second oldest of eight children. She travelled across Canada and settled in the Yukon where she married, fostered several children and adopted six other children and gave birth to a daughter - all of whom are an inspiration in her life. Her love for the people and the rugged beauty of the Yukon also inspired her to create fabric art which combines the interaction of people in their environment. Margo works vibrantly colored fabrics, many of which are hand-dyed by her husband.Â
