This show promises to be nothing short of electrifying! Toronto-based Medusa Quartet is redefining the Western string quartet. The members of Medusa (Saskia Tomkins, Marta Sołek, Lea Kirstein and Georgia Hathaway) wield an impressive array of instruments that include the Swedish keyharp, suka or vertical fiddle, six-string Polish fiddle, lyra or pear-shaped three-stringed Greek violin, viola and cello.
They'll be joined on this tour by singer-songwriter Sarah Hiltz. Drawing comparisons to both Billie Holiday and Feist, her music has been described as a paradoxical blend of old world and modernity. She’s been praised for her ability to tell a story through song, but like Medusa Quartet, she isn’t afraid to take risks when she performs.

Admission is by advance reservation only - no tickets at the door. We're family-friendly and offer light meals, snacks and desserts, and a variety of hot and cold non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Doors open at 7pm and music at 7:30pm.
If you're unable to purchase a reservation for the number of guests in your party, please email us at info@empourium.ca and we'll do our best to reorganize our seating plan to accommodate you.
If you purchase a single ticket (Table for 1), we may ask that you share your table with another single ticket holder. If you would prefer NOT to, please let us know in the Order Notes when you purchase your reservation.
