BBVE is an intimate venue for live music most Friday evenings betwen September and June! We present a wide variety of artists and genres: folk, pop, jazz, blues, roots - and some music that just can't be labeled!  We're licensed and family friendly. Contemporary pop, folk and 21st century bluegrass from a talented trio. Great harmonies, snappy dressers and fun to be with! 

Admission is by advance reservation only - no tickets at the door. We're family-friendly and offer light meals, snacks and desserts, and a variety of hot and cold non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Doors open at 7pm and music at 7:30pm.

A regular house band at Victoria's Irish Times Pub, Black Angus offers a variety of material from foot-stomping folk songs to poignant lyrical poetry. Gareth Hurwood and Alex MacCuaig have great stage presence and a camaraderie that is instantly communicated to audiences.

 Black Angus is devoted to the authenticity of “good songs” that speak to their artistic hearts, and is near-impossible to pigeon-hole: traditional & contemporary Irish, acoustic roots, Americana, West Coast Celtic, blues, and old-time are all part of the Black Angus sound.
